Hand woven pure silk ikat scarf celebrating spring arrival and warmer days. This silk Ikat scarf was made using a centuries old technique of ikat weaving. Ikat is term of Indonesian origin adopted around the world to describe a technique of tying and wrapping silk threads before dying in order to create a desired design. In Uzbekistan this technique is known as abr technique (Persian, abr = cloud).

The scarf is made in Fergana Valley of Uzbekistan.

Colors in photos above all look slightly different. They were all taken in the daylight. Some photos were taken on a sunny day, others on a cloudy. Depending on lighting silk, which has a noble sheen to it, will reflect light differently.

"As Is" | Small Ikat Weaving Imperfection
We believe in transparency and honesty. This particular silk ikat scarf, despite its overall beauty, exhibits one small weaving imperfection, as depicted in the photos. This flaw, while minor, sets it apart and gives it an individual story to tell (like “I did not pass a pre-departure check to Salt Lake City because my soul is destined to live in Kyoto, Japan :))

Perfectly Imperfect, Perfectly Priced silk ikat scarf
Despite this small weaving imperfection, the silk scarf remains an exquisite piece of ikat art. It's now available at a special discounted price, allowing you to own a piece of authentic craftsmanship at an exceptional value.
