This is a lapel pin which was entirely hand painted in traditions of Uzbek ornamental painting.  Traditionally, ornamental painting is used for home decor (decoration of walls, furniture, decor items, etc). Pins and barrettes presented on this site are the first attempt to bring ornamental painting to women in a form of accessories.

The painting was touched with liquid bronze and covered with several layers of lacquer for shine and protection.
