This is “as is “ vest because of a white line on the right panel of the vest. I am not exactly sure as to what caused this line. The line is so clearly visible on this picture because I chose the lighting to show you this “as is“ factor. In reality, this “as is“ part does not jump at you and is not so visible unless you decide to inspect the vest.

Bukhara, an ancient city along the Silk Road, has been famous for its golden and silver thread embroidery for centuries. Hand embroidered items similar to this one could be worn only by royalty. It is only in the 20th century the embroidered clothes became available to “ordinary” folk.
Products embroidered with golden or silver threads are very festive. In Uzbekistan they are usually worn for special occasions such as weddings. These slippers are entirely hand made.
